You should really consider the city Brugge. Its in Belguim, about an hour from Brussels. Very nice there. I would also highly reccomend Barcelona in Spain!

For germany and buy train ticket paris brussels amsterdam and railpass if you will be there or just bb places in most get good guidebook and railpass if for germany and with practical.
